Hood River Golf Course
About Hood River Golf Course
Hood River Golf Course is the oldest course in Hood River, Oregon, having opened in 1923. Its original front nine was laid out by H. Chandler Egan, the architect also associated with Eugene Country Club, Tualatin Country Club and Oswego Country Club.
The front nine plays as an easygoing walk with Mt. Hood in view throughout. The back nine, added in 1995, climbs into the trees on the upper portion of the 300-acre property, where the surrounding vineyards and orchards come into view.
Lessons are available and built around solid fundamentals, with instruction aimed at giving players a clearer understanding of the game along with practice strategies they can take away and use on their own.
