Greenlea Golf Course

Greenlea's land began as a nursery planted by Walter and Muriel in the late 1930s. At 65, the couple decided to convert the property into a golf course for their retirement years, with Walter contributing to the design himself. The course went on to become a long-standing fixture in the area.

The setting remains much the same today: open ground, country views, and Mount Hood on the horizon.

The course is owned and operated by PGA Professional Scott Shields and his wife, Nicole Shields. Scott's ties to Greenlea go back to his teenage years, when he worked here during the summers. He played golf growing up in the area, competed for the Sandy High School team, and pursued his PGA career by way of Portland State.
