Prairie West Golf Club

Prairie West Golf Club is a course in Weatherford, Oklahoma, laid out by designer Ward Maynard and overseen by a staff and board of directors. The layout plays firmly from the back tees for low-handicap players, while three additional sets of tees on every hole give golfers of other abilities a more manageable test.

Fairways and tees are planted in Bermuda grass and framed by landscaping, with bentgrass putting surfaces. Trees come into play along the opening hole, where a blind tee shot rewards an accurate drive and leaves wayward shots blocked out. Another blind tee shot asks for both length and accuracy, setting up an approach to a raised green guarded by bunkers on either side.
