About Falconhead Resort Country Club
Falconhead Resort Country Club sits on ground with a notable place in tournament history. Before it took its current name, the property was known as Turner's Lodge, a course in Burneyville that drew both the PGA and LPGA Tours to a small Oklahoma town. In 1964, Pete Brown won here, becoming the first African-American golfer to take an official PGA Tour event.
The present layout is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., measuring 6,488 yards. The routing features doglegs and well-protected greens, and wind is often a factor in how the holes play. The setup suits competitive golfers while remaining manageable for regular rounds.
