About Miami View Golf Club
Miami View Golf Club is a private club in Miamitown, Ohio, distinguished among Greater Cincinnati private courses by having been built by its own founding members.
The project began in 1960, started by four golfers — Ed McCarren, Jim Clark, John Frey and Al Healy — who were looking for an alternative to the area's public courses. They were later joined by Charlie Ratterman and Harry Hannum. Their aim was to create a course that they and their friends could play affordably, deliberately building a golf course rather than a full country club. That founding idea still guides how Miami View Golf Club, Inc. operates today.
