About Sugar Bush Golf Club
Sugar Bush Golf Club is an 18-hole public course set in the rolling hills of Garrettsville in northeast Ohio. Harold Paddock Sr. designed the layout in 1965, routing it to follow the natural contours of the terrain. Tree-lined fairways and the winding waters of Camp Creek shape much of the round, and the 15th hole features the course's well-known Boxcar Bridge.
The two nines play quite differently. The front nine is the tighter half, with narrow corridors framed by mature trees that place a premium on accuracy. The back nine opens up considerably, with significant elevation changes that complicate club selection. Together they give golfers of varying ability a scenic and varied test.
