About Shaker Heights Country Club
Shaker Heights Country Club is a private, family-oriented club set in the historic Shaker Heights neighborhood east of Cleveland, just east of Shaker Square on the south side of Courtland Boulevard.
The club centers on an 18-hole golf course, complemented by a 25-meter swimming pool, tennis courts and paddle facilities for warm-weather use, along with a golf simulator, fitness center and dining rooms that keep the club active through the colder months. Dining plays a central role in club life, whether for family gatherings or business guests.

The club dates to 1913, when it formed following a split among the membership of the Euclid Golf Club, which sat on land owned by John D. Rockefeller at the top of Cedar Hill. Euclid members J.B. Zerbe and Judge Dwane E. Tilden approached brothers O.P. and M.J. Van Sweringen about building a course and clubhouse in the Village of Shaker Heights; both brothers became founding members and served on the original House Committee.
