About Oxbow Golf Course
Oxbow Golf Course opened in 1973, founded by Ned H. Tanner, George Cowell and Lloyd Cowell, who ran it together until 2011, when the Tanner family took over ownership.
Laid out by architect Jack Kidwell across rolling hills, the course measures 6,558 yards and plays to a par of 71. Water comes into play on nine holes, by way of four lakes and a tributary of the Little Hocking River. The design features large, undulating bentgrass greens, well-kept fairways and multi-level tees, suiting a range of skill levels in a natural setting in the Mid-Ohio Valley.

From 2012 the Tanner family carried out renovations, refurbishing the greens, bunkers and fairways, adding maintenance equipment and updating the clubhouse interior, including new men's lockers.
