Oswego Country Club
About Oswego Country Club
Oswego Country Club dates to 1897, making it one of the oldest golf clubs in the United States. The land it occupies was once the Murray and Littlefield farm, and the original layout had just six holes, with an early clubhouse standing near what is now the fourth hole.
The present clubhouse opened in 1903. In 1915, architect A.W. Tillinghast redesigned and expanded the original holes into the course's current front nine. In 1978, architect Geoffrey Cornish developed land on the south side of Munn Street to create the back nine.

Course conditioning was guided for many years by superintendent Scott Peters, who oversaw its development through 2021. Matthew Bednarski has served as superintendent since then.
