About Canasawacta Country Club
Canasawacta Country Club sits above the Chenango Valley, spread across 158 acres of rolling, hilly ground. The original nine holes opened for play in 1920 and the club ran as a private operation with modest success until 1950. A second nine was added in 1968, after which it functioned as a semi-private club. Carson Family Enterprises, Inc. has owned and operated the course since 1985.
The 18-hole layout plays to a par of 71 for both men and women, measuring 6,271 yards from the blue tees, 6,044 from the white and 5,166 from the red, with slope ratings of 120, 118 and 114 respectively. Water hazards are in play on 12 holes. The bentgrass greens average about 5,000 square feet, and tees, greens and approaches are served by an automatic irrigation system. A driving range is available for practice.
