Willow Run Golf Course

Willow Run Golf Course is an executive-length layout in Mayville, New York, routed through woodland and past creeks, ponds and marshland, with water coming into play on a number of holes.

The greens are a defining feature: well maintained rather than quick, and shaped with pronounced slopes that bring interest even to the shorter holes. Among the standouts, the fourth plays roughly 150 yards to a slightly raised green with a bog to the left and a pond to the right, while the seventh measures about 190 yards from the blue tees and carries a valley, with tall trees down the left and a falling side hill right. The ninth, one of two par 4s, drops 315 yards downhill and offers a wide view of the lake and the countryside beyond from the tee.
