About Mahopac Golf and Beach Club
Mahopac Golf and Beach Club traces its origins to 1893, when a 6-hole course designed by Thomas Bendelow opened on the east shore of Lake Mahopac. The club itself was formed in 1898, and in 1900 the course moved to the lake's north shore as a 9-hole, 2,730-yard layout. It was expanded to 18 holes in 1913 to a design by Devereux Emmet, the architect also behind Garden City Golf Club and Congressional Country Club.

The course now measures 6,523 yards and spreads across roughly 200 acres of rolling hillside in Putnam County, just north of the Westchester County line. Well-bunkered greens and varied hole designs place an emphasis on course management and shot-making.
Set on the north shore of Lake Mahopac, the club also has a white sand beach, with swimming and boating alongside the golf.
