About Moon Brook Country Club
Moon Brook Country Club traces its origins to the Jamestown Rotary Club, the area's first service organization, founded in 1919. Establishing a golf course for the Jamestown community became the group's first service project in 1920, with Rotarians and local leaders raising the money to buy the land.
The club engaged Scottish-born architect Willie Park Jr., a Hall of Fame designer, to lay out a full 18 holes. Limited funds meant only the first nine could be built at the outset, and that opening nine welcomed play in July 1921. Park's complete design was eventually finished when the second nine opened in 1928-1929, giving the club the 18-hole course it has today.
