About Garden City Country Club
Garden City Country Club is a private, family-oriented club in Garden City, New York, built around an 18-hole golf course designed by Walter J. Travis. Travis, an accomplished amateur golfer and a Garden City resident himself, was commissioned in 1916 to lay out the championship course, which now stands as a century-old example of American golden age design.
The course occupies roughly 120 acres on the Hempstead Plains in central Nassau County, and is known among members for its greens.

Beyond golf, the club offers racquet sports including tennis and platform tennis, with programs for players of varying ages and ability levels, as well as social events. The courts, clubhouse and fire pit area have been renovated in recent years, and dining is available on site.
