About Knollwood Country Club
Knollwood Country Club's course dates to 1894, when Lawrence Van Etten laid out a layout of roughly 5,300 yards. A redesign followed in 1925 under A.W. Tillinghast, who urged the purchase of an adjoining property to expand the grounds. Tillinghast was succeeded a year later by Seth Raynor, who died before the work was complete, and Raynor's protégé Charles Banks finished the project in 1927. All three architects share credit for the course as it stands today.

The routing closes with a par-4 18th, and an additional short par-3 19th hole is available for settling matches or extra practice. Practice facilities include a recently renovated driving range, a putting green and a short-game area.
Knollwood is a privately owned country club in Elmsford, New York, with a professional staff and a schedule that accommodates tournament competition as well as social golf.
