About East Hampton Golf Club
East Hampton Golf Club opened in June 2000 on a 126-acre property with a long history behind it. Pete Bistrian farmed part of the land for decades while imagining a course there, and in 1978 the Bistrian family built a nine-hole layout that he helped design. After nearly 20 years, the family decided to replace it with a full 18 holes, partnering with Credit Suisse First Boston and interviewing several architects before selecting Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw in 1998 to design and oversee construction.

The 20,000-square-foot clubhouse opened to members and guests in April 2005. It was designed by Chapman, Coyle, Chapman of Marietta, Georgia, with Barry Coyle as lead architect, and built by Ben Krupinski Builders. Pembrooke & Ives, with Andrew Scheinman leading, handled the interiors. The exterior combines cedar shingles and river stone, while the interior is contemporary in style.
