Cedars is a nine-hole public par-three course designed by Russel Case and dating to 1965. It sits in the rural North Fork of Long Island just outside the village of Cutchogue, roughly midway between Riverhead and Orient Point.
The nine holes total 1,120 yards across 13 tree-lined acres. Four ponds bring water into play, while mature cedars and changes in elevation make the holes play tougher than they look from the tee.
Clubs and pull carts can be rented, and the pro shop sells equipment and handles club re-gripping and repair. Lessons are given on the course or in the golf simulator. Junior golf is a focus here, with camps in July and August and junior play welcome at any time.
