Carlowden Country Club

Carlowden Country Club offers 18 holes laid out across the rolling countryside of Northern New York, set about 15 minutes from Fort Drum and 25 minutes from Watertown.

Among the course's more memorable tests are its short par 3s. One plays to the smallest green on the property, a putting surface with a pronounced left-to-right slope and grain that makes bogey a respectable result. Another is an elevated, postage-stamp target where pin position and wind matter a great deal; short-siding or flying the green both bring trouble, so the front portion of the putting surface is often the safer play.
