About St Lawrence Golf & Country Club
The Oliver D. Appleton Golf Course at St. Lawrence University sits in Canton, New York, adjoining the university campus, and marks its 100th anniversary in 2026. It has served golfers in the North Country region for a century.
The course began as a nine-hole layout designed by Devereux Emmet and was later extended to 18 holes when a second nine by Geoffrey Cornish was added. The combined routing pairs traditional design with a quiet, wooded setting.
The club also hosts tournaments, outings and group play of varying sizes.
