About McConnellsville Country Club
McConnellsville Country Club traces its origins to 1941, when the former McConnell and Charboneau farms were converted into a nine-hole golf course, a project financed jointly by the Frank S. Harden Co. (Harden Furniture) and the Camden Wire Co. (International Wire). The Charboneau farmhouse served as the first clubhouse for more than two decades, until a cornerstone for the current clubhouse was laid in September 1964 in memory of Harry A. Harden.

Plans for a second nine took shape in 1967 after the Harden family donated sixty-five acres of adjoining land. Backed by member pledges and further support from Harden Furniture, the expansion was finished late in 1969, bringing the course to eighteen holes.
Todd and Cindy Bowman purchased the course in 2022 as a family venture, completing a round of clubhouse updates early that year. The course operates with a community-minded, family-oriented focus and offers food service alongside golf.
