The round opens from an elevated tee on a short par 5 that doglegs left, with a wide fairway and a tee shot placed to the right of the bunker leaving roughly 200 yards to the green; shorter hitters can play a mid iron and still have about 100 yards in. The second hole is a par 3 stretching from about 139 to 216 yards, calling for a mid to long iron into a very large green ringed by deep traps. Pins tucked to the far right or left behind the sand demand a shaped shot, as missing the correct section can leave a putt of 60 to 80 feet.
