Clear Creek Tahoe Golf

Clear Creek Tahoe occupies land that once formed part of the historic Clear Creek Ranch, a property tied to Lake Tahoe, Carson City and Virginia City since the mid-1800s. Cattle operations worked the ground for more than 150 years, and the site once carried timber flumes that moved logs from Spooner Summit down to the mines of western Nevada, part of the lumber business run by Lake Tahoe entrepreneur D.L. Bliss. The area also sits within the countryside popularly identified as the fictional Ponderosa of television fame. On the course, the Swift's Station pavilion recalls the wagon train stop that stood just below the eastern summit of the Sierra Nevada. The property's architectural history includes the Twin Pines Lake & Ski House, designed by architect Julia Morgan.
