Jal Country Club is a nine-hole golf course with a large modern clubhouse in Jal, New Mexico.
The club traces its origins to 1938, when 25 men each contributed $50 to establish the first Jal Country Club. That original nine-hole layout sat six miles out on the Dollarhide Highway and featured sand greens, with no clubhouse on site.
In 1951 the club relocated to its current site. Greens were built from sand and cottonseed hulls, and a former Phillips Petroleum bunkhouse was moved onto the property to serve as the first clubhouse.
