About Black Mesa Golf Club
Black Mesa Golf Club sits in the high desert near Española, New Mexico, where the course was routed by architect Baxter Spann, who described the property as the most interesting and spectacular site he had worked with.
The layout follows the natural topography, weaving fairways through mountainous valleys and along dramatic sandstone ridges, with unusual rock formations and native vegetation framing the holes and giving each one a strong sense of separation. Frequent elevation changes add to the demands of the round, and views extend to the Santa Fe ski mountain in the distance.

The course offers enough challenge to test low handicappers while remaining playable for golfers of varying abilities, and it can be played year-round, from winter sunshine to the greener conditions of spring.
