About Paradise Hills Golf Course
Paradise Hills Golf Course sits on Albuquerque's Westside and was laid out by golf course architect Robert "Red" Lawrence. Conceived originally as a traditional parkland design, the course is gradually shifting toward a more environmentally friendly character. Although the land has little significant slope, the 18 holes still demand accuracy, with each hole calling for a different shot and a different skill.

Lawrence worked as an architect for 57 years, from 1919 until his death in 1976. He became known as the "Desert Fox" after designing Desert Forest Golf Club in Carefree, Arizona, in 1962 — the first course built entirely in the desert — a project that showed his habit of working with the natural terrain rather than against it.
