Hawk Pointe Golf Club sits on a 325-acre tract off Route 31 in Washington, New Jersey, in a part of Warren County known for its wooded landscape, wildlife and pre-Revolutionary history.
The course grew out of a plan by Richard Cotton, a lifelong Warren County resident and managing partner of the Hawk Pointe community. Earlier proposals for the property called for a large housing development; Cotton instead pursued a land-based project intended to balance open space with development, preserving the site's environmental character and historic significance while serving the surrounding rural communities.
