About Rock Ridge Golf Course
Rock Ridge Golf Course traces its origins to the Musconetcong Country Club, a nine-hole layout designed between 1919 and 1921 by golf architect Herbert Strong. Strong was a golf professional and one of the founders of the PGA before turning his attention to course design along the East Coast and into Canada.
Dr. Robert Trevorrow, the first president of Centenary University, was elected the country club's first president in 1920.
The back nine was laid out later by a second architect, John, and is generally considered the more demanding and scenic half of the course.
