About Lochmere Country Club
Lochmere Country Club sits in New Hampshire's Lakes Region and traces its roots to a family's interest in building a course shaped by golfers' own preferences. It opened in 1992 as a nine-hole layout and expanded over the following three decades into an 18-hole course.
The design came from architect Phil Wogan, who worked alongside founder Jerry Chaille with the aim of rewarding strategic play. Chaille's stated goal was a country club accessible to working people. Five sets of tees give players of varying abilities a range of yardages, and tee times are spaced at 10-minute intervals to help keep pace of play moving.
