Hidden Creek Golf Course

Hidden Creek Golf Course is a nine-hole layout in Litchfield, New Hampshire, with a mix of hole shapes and terrain that calls for accuracy, consistency and patience. The opening and closing holes are known for their views, which bookend the round.

The first is a generous driving hole, though a hazard and trees line the right side and bunkers sit in the rough near the landing area. Bunkers also guard the left of the green, making the middle of the putting surface the safer target when the pin is cut left. The second is a short but demanding par 4 where the tee shot is decisive: playing to the bend of the dogleg leaves a clear approach, while anything hit too far can run through the fairway into trees. The green itself rewards careful reading.
