About Monument Shadows Golf Course
Monument Shadows is an 18-hole course in Gering, Nebraska, laid out at the foot of Scotts Bluff National Monument. The grounds are planted with evergreen and deciduous trees, and sand bunkers and water come into play on several holes alongside maintained greens, fairways and rough.
Four sets of tee markers stretch the course from roughly 4,800 yards at the forward tees to more than 6,800 yards from the back. Two additional family tees, at about 3,000 and 3,900 yards, give juniors and newer golfers a shorter option.
The terrain is moderately easy to walk, and the routing calls for a varied range of shots from hole to hole.
