Nebraska Dunes Golf Course
About Nebraska Dunes Golf Course
Nebraska Dunes Golf Course, formerly known as Awarii Dunes, sits just south of Kearney under new ownership. The course is routed through the natural sand dune terrain of central Nebraska.
Designed by architect Jim Engh, the 18-hole championship layout measures roughly 7,000 yards and was built using the existing ground rather than reshaping it. It moves through rolling dunes, native prairie grasses and natural blowout bunkers, producing a links-style round uncommon in the Midwest.

Drawing on the golf courses of Ireland, the design includes pronounced elevation changes, inventive green complexes and wide fairways that leave room for both strategic and aggressive lines of play, making it playable for a range of skill levels.
