Jack Hoeven Wee Links is a nine-hole course in central Minot, built and operated as a full-scale golf course scaled for young players. It is owned and managed by the Minot Junior Golf Association, a non-profit formed in 1989 to develop golf and life skills among area youth. The idea for a course aimed at children took shape in 2003, when community members set out to create a place where kids could play real golf close to home.
The layout was reworked in connection with the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project, which affected three of the nine holes and required them to be rebuilt. The course closed for the 2019 and 2020 seasons while design and construction specialists working on the flood project carried out the reconstruction, along with further changes that included hole redesign, landscaping and new hazards. The course reopened in May 2021.
