Kulm Country Club is a public nine-hole course set in the rolling hills southwest of Kulm, North Dakota. It plays 3,033 yards to a par of 36 and has grass greens.
The layout was completely redesigned in 2007 by architects Stephen Kay and Doug Smith, with the greens built by Marvin Schlauch, who grew up in the Kulm area and has constructed greens on courses elsewhere, including The Links of North Dakota in Ray. Hazards and green shapes draw on designs found at well-known courses around the world.
The course's hardest hole is a 234-yard par 3 whose green sits beyond water, with out of bounds along two other sides, making a layup short and right a conservative option. The longest hole is a 595-yard par 5 with a narrow fairway, two water hazards and out of bounds to the left, placing a premium on the second shot.
