Cavalier Country Club is a nine-hole course in Cavalier, North Dakota, established in 1925 on land that had been a horse pasture. The club was incorporated in 1945, and the first clubhouse went up in the 1950s, gaining several additions over the decades. A footbridge was built across the ravine crossing the seventh fairway in 1954.
A watershed project in 1959 cost the club roughly 18 acres but supplied the water needed for grass greens, which were completed along with a watering system around 1969. A fully automated irrigation system followed in 1991, with minor course changes since. A clubhouse of more than 4,000 square feet was built in 2014.
The course plays 2,969 yards with a rating of 66.6 and a slope of 108. It is a stockholder-owned, non-profit corporation that is open to public play.
