About Sequoyah National Golf Club
Sequoyah National Golf Club sits in Cherokee, North Carolina, about 45 minutes west of Asheville, set among oak and fir woodland and flowered valleys in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains. The surrounding landscape features in the Cherokee creation story, in which the mountains were shaped by the wings of a great buzzard.
The 18-hole course was designed by Robert Trent Jones II and is owned by the Eastern Band of the Cherokee. It is open to the public and plays over zoysia fairways to bentgrass greens, with views toward Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
