About Pearl West Golf Course
The Pearl comprises 27 holes designed by Dan Maples, laid out among woodlands and marshes along the Calabash River. The three nines combine into three distinct 18-hole routings: The Pearl East, The Pearl West and The Pearl North, each with its own character. The property's natural features frame the holes throughout, and the facility opened in 1987.
The North routing plays in a links-influenced style, with wider fairways and larger greens, while the East leans toward parkland golf, placing a premium on accuracy rather than length. The Pearl West blends elements of both, and includes six holes set along the Calabash River that showcase the surrounding scenery.
