About Country Club of Salisbury
The Country Club of Salisbury traces its origins to 1919, when a makeshift six-hole course was laid out along the old racetrack and fairgrounds off Brenner Avenue, using tomato cans sunk as cups. The club moved to its present site in 1920 and remains one of the few private country clubs in the Salisbury area.
The golf course was originally designed and routed by Donald Ross, and five sets of tees allow members and their guests to play it at a length suited to their game.

The club also maintains a tennis complex with six courts, three clay and three hard, all lit for evening play. The facility includes viewing decks, bleachers, a gazebo and a ball machine for member use. A pro shop carries racquets and tennis equipment and handles stringing and re-gripping, while the resident tennis professional provides individual and group instruction for players of all levels.
