About The Cardinal by Pete Dye

The Cardinal opened in 1974 as a Pete Dye design in Greensboro, North Carolina, and has tested golfers across generations. Dye's routing is built around strategic shot options, dramatic contouring and the natural lay of the land, with two lakes, winding creeks and closely maintained greens shaping play. The layout is set up to remain fair while still presenting a genuine challenge to a range of abilities.

The club is private and operated as one of two McConnell Golf properties in Greensboro, with members receiving preferred tee access. A limited number of starting times are also made available to visiting golfers.

Junior programs and year-round activities for players of all ages are part of club life, supporting player development and a social atmosphere alongside the golf.
