About Old Chatham Golf Club

Old Chatham Golf Club is a private, golf-only club set between Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill, on roughly 400 acres of protected woodlands away from the area's development. The club traces its origins to 1999, when a group of business leaders from the Triangle set out to find land suited to their idea of a club devoted solely to golf.

The championship course was designed by Rees Jones and opened in 2001, with the club placing particular emphasis on course conditioning and the overall playing experience.

Old Chatham's culture leans on the traditions of amateur golf, balancing everyday rounds with competitive play. The club is scheduled to host the 77th U.S. Girls' Junior Championship in 2026.
