Tot Hill Farm Golf Club sits on land in Asheboro with a history reaching back to the 1800s, and traces of that past remain on the property, including a historic farmhouse and the old dam.
The course was designed by Mike Strantz, the architect whose brief career ended with his death in 2005 at the age of 50. A sizeable share of his small body of work lies within about 45 miles of the Village of Pinehurst, and Tot Hill Farm is among those designs, shaped by the character of its terrain rather than a conventional layout.
