Double Arrow Golf Course sits on land in Seeley Lake, Montana, with a ranching past. In the late 1920s, Jan Boissevain and Colonel George F. Weisel bought the property, then a stock ranch known as the Corbett (or Corlett) Ranch, with the intention of turning it into a combined horse and dude ranch.
That plan came together in 1929 with the founding of the Double Arrow Ranch, named for the brand carried by Boissevain's favorite horse. It was the first commercial dude ranch established at Seeley Lake, and its name carries on in the golf course today.
