About Tupelo Country Club
Tupelo Country Club traces its origins to 1930, when it opened as a nine-hole course within the city of Tupelo. That layout served members until 1970, when the club moved to its present site in Belden, just outside Tupelo, building an 18-hole course and clubhouse on a 250-acre former cotton farm. John Frazier designed the new course, which is laid out to suit beginners while still presenting a test for stronger players.

Several design changes have followed, including a 1988 redesign by architect Kevin Tucker and a 1998 conversion of the greens to Champion Bermuda. Some three hundred native trees were planted in 2005 and 2006, and thousands of summer and fall annuals are added each year. Six lakes come into play, along with forty-three renovated greenside bunkers and twelve fairway bunkers. Multiple tees stretch the course from 4,993 to 6,887 yards.
The club has hosted numerous Mississippi state championships, including state amateur, open, four-ball and mid-amateur events.
