Rolling Hills Country Club

Rolling Hills Country Club is an 18-hole, par-71 course in Versailles, Missouri. It began as a nine-hole layout in the mid-1950s, and planning for a second nine started in the late 1980s. The new holes were interwoven with the original nine, and the full 18-hole course opened for play in 1991. In 2017 the nines were reversed to improve the routing.

The course's most talked-about hole is the 8th, a sharp dogleg right that asks for a left-to-right tee shot of roughly 220 yards, leaving about 140 yards into a well-defended green with a lake short and right and out of bounds down the left. Opinion on the hole is famously divided, though few players forget it; those who knew the earlier routing will remember it as the 17th.
