Built across rolling hills, the course produces frequent uneven lies. Fairways are generally wide, and the greens range from average to large in size, most of them carrying undulations. Water comes into play on four holes. The best-known hole is the 12th, a 298-yard par 4 that invites a drive at the green over a lake fronted by stacked boulders, a carry of roughly 270 yards, or a more conservative lay-up in the broad fairway followed by an approach across the water and rock.
