About Bill & Payne Stewart Golf Course
Opened in 1947, this Springfield course is the city's oldest and was laid out by architect Perry Maxwell.
It carries the names of two Ozarks golfers: Bill Stewart, a Missouri Amateur champion, and his son Payne Stewart, an 11-time tour winner whose titles included two U.S. Opens and a PGA Championship.
