Sikeston Country Club

Sikeston Country Club traces its origins to World War II, when the neighboring Sikeston Airport served as an Army Air Corps training center and an officers' club was built beside it. That building later became the course's clubhouse. The original nine holes opened with oiled sand greens, which were converted to Bermuda grass in the mid-1950s. A second nine was added around 1966 on land leased from the FAA, and the present bent grass greens, built to USGA specifications, were completed in 1990, followed a few years later by new bunkers, tees and cart paths.
