Spring Creek Golf Course

Spring Creek Golf Club in Salem, Missouri, is a nine-hole course playing 6,776 yards, with watered fairways and large greens. A small lake and a spring-fed creek winding through the property add water interest, and the layout is playable for a range of skill levels. Course ratings and slope are 71.5/121 from the blue tees, 70.8/118 from the white and 72.0/113 from the red and yellow.

The opening hole is the course's toughest, measuring 445 yards as a par 4 from the back tee (a par 5 for women), lined with trees to the left and out of bounds right, with a long approach into a big green flanked by bunkers. The second, a 372-yard par 4, favors a slight draw; trees crowd both sides and the fairway tilts toward the more penal right-hand timber, with one tree standing in the fairway itself. Its large green slopes toward the player, making sidehill putts and two-putts a test depending on pin placement.
