The Quarry at Crystal Springs

The Quarry at Crystal Springs occupies the site of a limestone quarry established in 1888 on a bluff above the Missouri River Valley. The operation took its name from the clear springs that run through the property, and more than a century later the former quarry was redeveloped as a public golf course.

The layout has a distinctly natural character, incorporating federally protected wetlands, environmentally sensitive areas left undisturbed, large lakes and stretches of native prairie grass, all of which also support local wildlife. Woods border the course on three sides, with Creve Coeur Park along the fourth, so no housing intrudes on the setting.
