About Excelsior Springs Golf Club
Excelsior Springs Golf Course opened in October 1915 with 18 holes. The club briefly grew to 36 holes in the late 1920s, but the Great Depression brought it back to the original 18, which remain in play today. The par-72 layout measures 6,553 yards and was designed by architect Tom Bendelow, whose other work includes Medinah Country Club and Olympia Fields Country Club.
The course plays through rolling hills with noticeable elevation changes and large mature trees. Five sets of tees accommodate a range of skill levels, and the club accepts tournament bookings.

Located about 30 minutes from downtown Kansas City, the course sits near The Elms historic hotel, local bed and breakfasts, and the town's historic downtown district.
