Hidden Valley Golf Links

Hidden Valley Golf Links in Clever, Missouri, plays over dramatic undulations with a naturally rugged look, bold bunkering, and rough areas around the tees and bunkers planted in native grasses that frame each hole. The putting surfaces have long been regarded as the course's signature feature.

The round opens with a wide, inviting fairway, though out of bounds sits on both sides. The tee shot carries a pond and leaves a wedge or short iron into a green protected by bunkers in front and heavy rough. The second is a straight, tree-lined par 4 that favors accuracy over distance, with out of bounds tight along the left and a hazard of water and tall grass to the right. An accurate drive sets up a short approach to a long, narrow green where subtle breaks make even close birdie chances uncertain.
